welcome  LAW and ORDER CD  official site...

Download 15 songs against violence, and/or donate to charities fighting violence

Bob Oswald is sick and tired of the gun violence happening on our city streets.  So, he did the only thing he knew how to do - he wrote a  song.  Other Canadian Indie artists joined with him to write their  songs.  The end result is Law & Order CD.  Proceeds from these meaningful tunes, through CD sales, music  downloads, film & TV placements, will aid the non-profit  charities represented at this site.
The senseless death of high school student Jane  Creba, an innocent shopper on Yonge Street, dragged all law-abiding  citizens into this ruthless crossfire.  As battles between rival  gangsters curtail our liberties and escalate with no end in sight - are  peace lovers doomed to live their lives in a declining environment?  We say  NO!  We say, its time to FIGHT VIOLENCE!

Are you a victim of crime or abuse?  Have you been helped by charities
dedicated to stopping violence?  Maybe you have written a poem or  painted a
picture that could be used in the liner notes of the Law & Order CD. If so, tell  us your story at
lawandordercd@aol.com   You may  be able to play a role in stopping violence.

ANGEL ON YONGE STREET

City streets are dying
a little every day,
When will we just stop hoping
It will go away.

People killing people
out there in broad daylight,
It's time to take the gloves off
and stand and fight.

The police keep on trying,
one hand behind their backs.
The leaders just ain't leading
its as plain as that.

They're really doing nothing,
What do we pay them for?
The same old lame excuses
that we've heard before.

It's time for change, tell the politicians
get off their asses or we'll make 'em pay.
Quit all their double speaking rosy visions,
and see the world as it is today!

It makes me feel like crying,
the way we turn our heads.
It's just another shootout,
someone else is dead.

We should have paid attention,
shouldda had more to say,
Then maybe Baby Jane
would be alive today.

If I could I would take the future,
and mold it in my own hand.
I would take every gangster loser,
and send them all to a desolate land.

Track 1  Zero Me - (J.P. Riemens) - The alluring city streets have swallowed up many youth looking for fame and fortune. What it takes to get out.
Track 2  Life Sentence - (Motion) - Another day, another tragic death. Where will it end? Another young man fails to graduate from the school of hard knocks
Track 3  There Go I - (Harold MacIntyre) - The drunkard, the prostitute and the drug addict - under varying circumstances this could be your child out on the streets ostracized by society
Track 4  You Just Turned My Life Around - (Neil w Young & Paula Tessaro) - Often during or after tragedy, someone appears as if they were an angel to help you through the tough times. Afterwards you know there is no way you could have made it without them.
Track 5  Just Stop - (David Bacha) - Tracing life in the hood from the cradle to the grave, all the while reasoning from cause to effect. A genuine heartfelt appeal to climb out of the mess.
Track 6  Mary's Song - (Jennifer Jill) - Sexual abuse - The abuse of power is at its most hurtful when it occurs within the religious community. This song was written for all the modern-day Mary's.
Track 7  Beautiful Ride - (Alanna Wilson) - Loss of a loved one - From a teen's perspective, dealing with the untimely death of an admired person whom you respected very much.
Track 8  Angel on Yonge Street - (Bob Oswald) - This song inspired creation of the Law & Order cd. The senseless murder of Jane Creba refuses to allow law abiding citizens to drift into complacency regarding gun violence
Track 9  The Angels That's All - (Tony Eaton) - After the dust settles and bodies lie, all that's left is angels beholding, tears and all.
Track 10  Shoeshine Boys and Ballerinas - (Bob Oswald) - Sexual atrocities against children - Finally, a scathing rebuke calling for the sternest penalty to those who sexually torture children.
Track 11  Masterpiece - (Jennifer Jill) - Sometimes its hard to believe a greater power is in control during times of betrayal, violence, and death. Possibly, in spite of the pain, all things are unfolding towards our greater good.
Track 12  Angeline - (Tony Eaton) - Right from the start, a little girl's heart is shattered, but there's someone out there who loves you.
Track 13  You Fool - (Bob Oswald) - How do you reach someone involved in youth gangs? By speaking their language ... and Bob Oswald does not mince his words.
Track 14  No Survivors - (C.W. Voris) - The life of crime is far from glamorous, full of betrayal, informants, and often in the end - violent death. C.W. Voris does a masterful job of portraying the dark side of life.
Track 15  Doin' Hard Time - (Paul Naumann/Lynn Defino) - The easy road often turns out to be a case of doing hard time in a free world.
Track 16  It Could Have Been - (C.W. Voris) - When words fail to describe the pain, music enters the heart where no one else could go.
